Arrow The Battle of the Little Bighorn

On Wikipedia this morning I saw under On this day...

"1876 – Black Hills War: United States Army Colonel George Armstrong Custer (pictured) was killed at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in present-day Big Horn County, Montana."

While searching for related articles (such as George Armstrong Custer and Monaseetah (a grandaughter of Chief Black Kettle)) and sites, I came across these eyewitness recollections of the battle:

White Cow Bull's Story of the Battle #1

Brave Bear's Story of the Battle, #2

They were recorded by David Humphreys Miller, who was "adopted late in life by both Iron Hail and One Bull" [link #1] of the Teton Sioux. He also drew pastel sketches of some of the people he interviewed (links at the bottom of stories #1 and #2).

I LOVE such historical reports, Lizzie! Thanks for sharing. Just like for 9/11, I'll appreciate to discover anything but "The Official Version"...

Thankyou Lizzy for these links. I read both of these stories and found them very interesting. So much to learn about the Indians and army's cruelty!!!
