Question Walt Whitman's poems

Hello

do you know what is the title of the poem of Walt Whitman read by Sully to Michaela in the episode "The Library"/"La bibliothèque" (3rd season) ?

and possibly those of "The body electric"/"Le corps électrique" (5th season) ?

Thank you for your help.

The title of the poem Sully reads in The Library is the 22nd stanza of "Song of Myself"

The Body Electric Poems:

The one Brian is reading when Sully rides up is the 6th stanza of "Song of the Open Road."

The one Jake reads is "Native Moments"

When Michaela is looking through his books once she hears of his deviance, the one she reads is also from "Song of the Open Road" from the 15th stanza

The one Whitman is reading as we pan into the poetry reading is "Poem of the Body"...and then he jumps right into "I hear America Singing"...and again he jumps right into the next "There was a Child Went Forth"

All of these poems can be found in "LEaves of Grass."

(been on a total poetry kick lately you totally asked at the right time )

*nods* You can if you want to purchase the book. Also, thanks to the vast world of the internet, you can find many of these poems online available to read. I'll be purchasing it myself...but I've spent the past month reading much of Whitman, Longfellow and Poe's works online...

LOL Sadie, I bought the book before I had internet at home. Thankfully my local bookstore was able to order it. Guess I'll do a google search for good ole Walt.

LOL! I have a few of Whitman's poems in book form, because I have one an anthology of some wonderful poems. Since my recent re-examination of my love of poetry I've been looking for more to actually have to read in hand. Reading on my comp is okay, but sometimes there's just nothing like having the book in your hand and turning the pages. I certainly plan to purchase some Whitman, Longfellow, and Poe very soon. They're actually in my "shopping cart" at Barne's and Noble right now

But in lieu of being able to purchase anything in the past couple of months, I've had to settle with finding poetry online...there is a surprising wealth of wonderful poems there. I've spent hours just reading through some poetry databases

Hah, I hear you on the money issue. Just purchased a couple items myself (some Patrick Swayze, some Jane etc.) and now I'm almost broke again. Thank TPTB for the internet (LOL, I don't blame God on creating it ), it helped me save a LOT of money already.

Sigh! Helas les beaux jours when I used to work in a bookshop! I could buy all kinds of interesting books (Leaves of Grass included) because the owner granted me 20% discount on each of them! Maybe I'm just too old but I don't enjoy reading texts on the screen, it just doesn't feel the same. I like the book as an object: feeling the texture of the papers, smelling it... It adds to the pleasure of reading it! IMHO, of course!

Uh, sorry! It means "Alas the beautiful days" something like "I regret the days". It's French. (I thought it was a bit international, I did not mean to show off!)

I know it's French, Simona. Problem is I never had French lessons in school (we only had Russian and English where I grew up, LOL).

Russian? Interesting! I took English, French and *cough cough* German. But I never practised your language so I can barely order a "forelle mullerin" when I go to a restaurant and say "danke schon!" when the waiter brings it to me!

Yes, I had Russian in school, but haven't used any of it in more than 20 years hence forgot about 95% percent of what I knew, LOL.

Hello

I found poems of Walt Whitman on the web.
I love books but at this time I prefer waiting some weeks to buy one (lot of purchases)...

PS : In school, I've study English, German and ancient Latin.
