The DQ Top 3 Game

I was sitting on a bus a few days ago from Stockholm, Sweden to my hometown 4-5 hours down south. In the seats behind me there was a young couple (they might have been friends who didn't know they were going to marry in 4 years!) and they were doing a game to pass time and it was quite entertaining to listen to... since I had no place else to go (!) .

Anyway, so I thought we could do something like it here, with dr Quinn.

Rules!

1. Someone comes up with a dr Quinn-related "area" and posts it, see examples below.
2. Another person comes up with a top 3 list of dr Quinn related things to this "area", see examples below.
Same person also comes up with a new area for the next person to make a top 3 list of.
3. Think BIG and Wide if you wish - there is no right or wrong answer, just use your imagination - as long as it stays related to the show in some way...
4. It's ok to use the same area more than once, which means you don't have to scroll through the whole thread to see if your area has been up before.
5. Feel free to motivate your answers.
6. Always write "Top 3: and then the area", and be sure to copy this to begin your post if you want to post a list.

Example 1

Top 3: Bad things to buy at Loren's store

1. Quite an out of character gift-dress from Sully to dr Mike (Good thing you made the medicine bag saddle instead!!)
   
2. The last tiny turkey before Thanksgiving - It probably had a name: George Junior, and therefor shouldn't be meal.
   
3. A very expensive door window - could be very sensitive at a certain time in a relationship

1/Influenza at the beginning of series, because of its huge influence on what happens next (OK, I admit this is kinda corny, but I could not resist)

2/ Anthony's then "mysterious disease", because it made us, 1990s viewers, realise how much medicine has progressed during the past 130 years... (NB. in 2009, there's still people who die from sickle cell anemia)

3/ "A Place to Die" because most of episode is a "medical case", and it leads to such heartbreaking moments which still make my eyes wet every time I watch them...

Next round: Villains (townies or guests)

Villains:

Hank - the "villain" with a good heart deep down and the best hair in the show; Michaela's rescuer in Point Blank and her most important adviser; a kind of 'dark version' of Sully: how could he not be number one of my favourit "villains"?
Preston - the "villain" with the funniest grin, the brainiest humour and you just must have pity with someone who calls his dad "Sir". (And teasing Sully makes him even more likable to me. )
Ethan - yes I'm surprised myself, because I consider him a real villain unlike the others, but how could we be forever mad at someone who gave Michaela so much pleasure during their dance.

Next: Drinks

Drinks

1) Michaela's birthday toast by Jake - need I say more? One of those perfect moments.
2) Grace's apple cider - I think it was the apple cider that came with the ring, right?
3) the champagne (I bet it was that??) when Sully takes Michaela to dinner à la Boston in "Where the Heart Is". THE look is very powerful.

Next: dress

1. The dress that Michaela chose for her first attendance at church in CS - I usually feel underdressed but I bet being overdressed isn't much fun either.
2. The Indian dress Sully gave Catherine - if you really love your girl friend, you should avoid such generous gestures (and never claim they mean nothing!!!!), and never, NEVER watch how the other woman changes into your gift!!!
3. Michaela's wedding dress - as beautiful as it was, I'm sure it was quite uncomfortable... well, at least it had a low neck line so she could cool her shoulders somewhat

Next: meals

May I be bold enough so as to give two "sub-lists" instead of a single one?

A) Top 3 things any serious DQMW fan would like to eat, anytime:
1/ Grace's apple pie
2/ Grace's meatloaf
3/ Grace's fried chicken
Motivating answers: because it's Grace's cooking. Everyone here knows that nobody in the whole universe can top Grace's cooking. Period.
Too bad nobody ever tasted it IRL either.

B) Top 3 things any serious DQMW fan would avoid at all costs to eat:
1/ Any meal prepared by Michaela in "The Epidemic" because of the huge laugh I had when first watching her covered with flour in that scene ("What's a pinch? A finger? How big is pea size?" etc.)
2/ Dried snake (from Sully's travel bag) - because of... ahem. Would YOU eat that?
3/ Brian's "surprise pie" - because, unlike the contest judges, we know all the ingredients in it.

Next: your Top 3 Native American guest characters (this obviously does not include CD, Snow Bird nor Black Kettle )

Ok...*ahem* here i go:

(I'm hoping I'm not expected to remember names... hopefully you'll get the general idea)

1) Little Thunder...or big Thunder.. Thunder something. Anyway...Michaela treats him for some chest infection and when he leaves the tent he picks her up and she and Snow Bird laugh....anyone who can be called Little Thunder and keep a straight face deserves an award IMO (esp when you look *cough* anything but thunderous, be it big or little!)

2) The Big old indian with the white hair in the reservation in the later seasons - the one that helps all the indians escape....one word: cuuuute!!!


3) The chief Black Moon that Cloud Dancing and Sully have to try and get to help them in season six. Just gotta say...love the makeup! Imagine what time he needs to wake up in the morning to get that done! I barely have time to wipe some eyeliner under my eyes, never mind my whole gosh darn face! Kudos to him!!!

Ok so now I have to think of something...

surgeries

(kinda random but there's heaps to choose from!)

Surgeries:

1. The first one for me is Brian's brain surgery in the first season...what was the title of the episode??... Anyway, it is when Brian falls (flies) out of the tree after hearing Sully's eagle story.

2. Loren's surgery for a hernia (again, don't remember the name of the eppie)

3. Ingrid's surgery when (Brother's Keeper) when Michaela tries to remove the part of Ingrid's arm that might be infected with rabies.

Sorry I'm so lame with some of the episode titles!

Friends that come from out of town to visit either the Sully/Cooper family or the townies...

As far as I remember, I think it was Little Thunder. But can anyone please put me out of my misery about a very small detail...? Is it during this scene when Little Thunder picks Michaela up, that she waves her hand in front of her mouth because LT's breath smells of garlic or smt equally strongly flavoured? Anyone remembers this quite tiny moment?
