The Casting-Game aka BSB-game

BSB-game = Beth-Sullivan’s-buddy-game!

Imagine this: you are a writer for DQ and Beth Sullivan comes to you and say: “Hey, I have a good friend and I want her/him/her daughter/his son/ her grandmother/her husband/his whatever to get a role in the show, just for one episode, can be a small or a big part. Just create one."

And now your job is it to create a role for this certain person.

How the game works:
The starter of the game finds somebody (can be anybody: a famous actor as well as somebody who is completely unknown) at imdb ( The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) ) and post the link to this actor/ actress/whatever. Important is that there must be a picture of this person, otherwise it’s pretty difficult to play this game.

This person the starter found is the one who needs a part in Dr. Quinn. It can be everything: from the new husband of Michaela (a husband for one episode, lol) to a background part with only a one liner (in this case it is necessary to post this one liner.)

And now the game works pretty much like the caption game: people try to find a role for this person and describe it with a few words or, at the most, two or three sentences; no long stories).

I give you an example:
This is the person who wants so dearly to play a role in DQ and just because he is a buddy of Beth (who knows) he will get it (might be the chance of his life ): unknown actor
1. Suggestion: This guy's character name is Derek Obermaier (german ancestors) and will be the new deputy in the town, but messes up his job completely, when he helps some bank robbers.
Or
2. This guy is somebody who lost his memory and thinks he is Sully’s twin.
Or
3. This guy appears in the store and says: “I need some beans, Mr. Bray.”
(I think the last suggestion would win, if I had to decide.)

I know that there are a lot of creative and crazy people around, so this game should be no problem.

Oh and, just like in the caption-game, after a few suggestions from different people the game-starter decides which suggestion wins. And the winner will find a new person at imdb.

OK... the "Woman" is the character named Margaret "Maggie" Johnsson, the reverend's unmarried aunt who's come to town to his big surprise. While in town AND church she discovers that Colorado Springs needs a town church choir and, believe it or not, the interest from the town members is BIG, but can they sing???
[edit] and guess who's most interested to sing along in a duett with unmarried Maggie.... yap! Loren...

Hahahaaaaa!!!!!! Sophy, you gave me a really good laugh. Town church choir!!! (I can picture them all: Hank next to Jake. )

Anyone else, who has an idea which role could be fitting for this woman.

She could be an excentric woman from Denver, Eleanora Wright, who brings her dog Prince to different places. She thinks that Prince doesn't have enough self-confidence and wants him to confront with some wilderness so he can prove himself a brave dog. When she gets out of the train, the first person she sees is Hank and she tells her dog, "Here we are right, Prince."

A bit lame LOL... but her pic with the dog led my thoughts in only this direction .

Btw, I love the idea with the choir , and I imagined ... Sully singing ! Ella, all your suggestions for JN are hilarious, they made me laugh out loud!!!! Great game!!!

Not lame at all, Kruemi. I absolutely see her as Eleanora having a 'Prince'-dog and meeting Hank.

Betty White could play elizabeth's sister, Michaela's Aunt, and not be as uptight as Elizabeth. She could be the black sheep of the family.

Slowly but surely I'm getting sad that we'll never see these wonderful ideas come to life. There is stuff for a lot more seasons, maybe a little crazy ones, but we fans wouldn't complain, would we?

My try:

Betty White could be the mother of Daniel Simon (Feodora Simon) - a mixture of overprotection and craziness. She would come to town to care for her beloved son, when she came across his sheriff-job. She would try to offer him a steady girlfriend outside of Colorado Springs to kick him out of this dangerous profession. Daniel is outstanding embarrassed, when his mother talks everybodies head off and names so many women around her "sweetness" - including an old charming lady in the background (Carmen). And he just can goggle, when she conquers Hank´s bar and accepts Hank´s invitation for a whiskey. After some days of stress he talks turkey to her in the early night at Grace´s Café and they correspond, that it was a lapse to leave his father, when she was pregnant. They both are crying, resting in their arms and the next day Feodora leaves CS by train - in full happiness.

That's almost an entire script, Slicker, but it's funny I can see Betty White as Daniels mother too.

Okay, I'm making a decision now:
Hmmm ... Maggie Johnson, the Rev's aunt who founds a church choir, or Eleanora Wright, who wants to polish 'Prince's' self-confidence, or Michaela's aunt the black sheep, or Feodora Simon, Daniels mother, who drinks whiskey with Hank.

Great suggestions everybody, that's for sure , but I say: Betty White will play Maggie Johnson and give the town a choir.
