Hi, I just thought I start a new thread of people one may know that are talented and wanted everyone to know about it, in case they get famous or already has been in the media. LOL!
Anyway, I just wanted to mention how talented my daughter is. All her life she has always performed, mostly dancing at first, (dancing at the age of one to actual music) the singing came in two years ago. I was shocked that she could sing as well. Well, she will be graduating from a performance high school and last night for he last performances she truly outshone herself giving her best performance ever. She performed in 14 numbers and there would have been a couple of more she opted to bail out. She was so energetic, flawless and just perfect. I couldn't believe that was my little girl. She even performed a Chicago number, Big Spender, I think it is called....that was quite the shocker seeing her not so much a little girl with her suggestive outfit with the stocking, heals and corset. But it was well done and tastefully. I just couldn't believe all the costume changes all the kids did especially my daughter. She helped choreograph many of the numbers, which was why she was in so many. She wasn't required to do that many number but she wanted to. I've seen her rehearse so hard and it paid off. She really convinced me that this is her true calling. But I'm glad she will be going to college this fall. She is now planning to major in theatrics. The school she is going to have an excellent theatric department. We'll see. Well, she will be only an hour and a half away, so I guess I will be able to continue to catch all her performances. Her dream is to be on Broadway. Yep, I definitely saw it last night. However, with all that performance she did last night, after the last one she did, I was urgently called backstage. My daughter had passed out. When I came to her she was having difficulty breathing. It really scared me. Paramedics came but she refused to go to the emergency. She was just plain exhausted and her sugar level was down. It was a very scary moment. I just thought I'd share this and you can add on. I hadn't realized how much she wants to perform so badly. She will be going to the doctor and I hope learns how to take better care of herself next time she performs like that.

Congrats to your talented daughter, Maritza.
I'm sure it was a very special moment when you watched her perform. ![]() I guess by living in New York she has the best thinkable possibilities to develop this talent and work on it, so that one day she really will be one of those famous people.

Thanks for replying Ella. True, she definitely has every opportunity here. But honestly, I am worry with the way I hear celebrities screw up their lives so I'm not entirely so gun ho about it, though I do my best to show my support. Although, I did raiseds her well, so I shouldn't worry too much.
I really prefer she goes on to college (of which she will be attending this fall) and actually graduate from it so as to have something to fall on, just in case. But What I saw of her that night....proved to me, that she has what it takes to make it in show business, preferably Broadway as that's always been her passion all her life. My fault for getting her so involved with it. LOL! She does have an audition next weekend with a talent scout that was at her school the night of the performance. Well, it's not with him the audition, but to a potential client looking for certain performers and he highly recommended her. I was in shocked. Whatever, she chooses, I know she will be a success with the way she is always driven. She never lets adversity weigh her down. Me, I too wanted to perform and then go on to production, but mostly for television was where my interest was. I just didn't know how to go after my dreams and I am not going to stand in the way of her dreams if this is truly what she wants. Gosh, I would have loved to have worked behind the set of DQ. What fun that mush have been. LOL! Don't my me here Ella, I'm just having fun with the extra little features decorting my post. LOL! Awesome sight format.

Hey folks... apart from a certain ability in Quinnfic collecting, I ain't got any talent whatsoever. But maybe some of you are really very talented!
So, maybe we could elect our own Susan Boyle in this thread? Share your talent! |

Me, I have no talent whatsoever. Though I love to sing and dance, I really can't do it justice, so I'm presuming acting is the same way. Writing is all I seem to be able to maybe do, and even that I question.

Oh sounds wonderful about your daughter being such a great performer. I wish I could sing at least remotedly well, but unfortunately I just can't keep in tune for the life in me. I hope she does get into the college and can maybe fulfill her dream through her education and get to some big productions. Broadway...aw, wouldn't that be amazing?!
![]() I'm not really a performer type I guess. I'm more into artsy stuff, though my drawing skills are not that great (thank goodness for computers and Photoshop! lol).

![]() I can't draw at all - my ability stopped at about the age of 9! And I really couldn't act to save my life!I am a fairly musical person (my avatar shows my instrument LOL), but naturally shy. I wouldn't become famous, and I'm not skilled enough; I just do it because I enjoy it. (I certainly wouldn't have the guts to sing solo in public! )Does anyone else play anything, sing, dance, act? |

HEHEHE! I can play a tune with my toes. Does that count?
Update--my daughter went to her audition and got accepted into their talent agency. She will be going in for her photo shoot. She is very excited. They want to start her off in commercials and print as extras than as she gain more experience or really proves she can by pass the steps, she may do much more advance stuff. She needs to build a profolio first for the advance stuff. I'm just hoping she keeps it as a side thing for now while going to college and later once she has gain more experience, decide on what career path she will take. I just want her to at least finish college and then decide. My son got inspired and wants to try acting. I don't know....I will have to see. He did audition once but it turned out you had to paid for several classes there first before they can send you off on auditions. He was so disappointed, but I just didn't have the money. The agency my daughter joined, you have to be scouted by a talent agent to join. They don't take walk ins.

Maritza that is wonderful about your daughter. I think it's so nice when people are successful doing what they really love - music or whatever. She is lucky to be able to do what she loves! And you son too perhaps, acting. You have some artistic kids! I'm only artistic when I want to - for my own pleasure. I am like Lizzie, kind of shy and doing things only for my own enjoyment. If I take it to another level, the joy will go away. I'm not saying that I'm tallented, but I never really go far exploring any tallents. I'm kind of saticfied as it is. I think lots of people could do SO MUCH MORE if they really tried. |

Thanks Sophie and Amber. You know what bothers me most I realized if she was to ever make it big...is that not only does the camera follows the stars around but the immediate family as well. I am not going to be happy about that. So I told her to keep me anonymous. I don't want that kind of spot light.
There has to be a member with such real performance talent. Please speak! Don't be shy about it. LOL!

Wow, congratulations to your talented daughter, Maritza!
![]() I'm not quite an artistic person, especially when it comes to singing. If it was a competition searching for the worst voice, I'll be present . We're watching digital television now and in the first weeks we had a karaoke channel. I didn't mind singing together with my brother... you can't believe how bad that was. But we had a lot of fun!

Well, I guess I fall into that category
I've been going to a Musical Theatre school the past year and will do so this next year as well (hence why I'm absent long periods of time, this May we had our production so there wasn't any time left over for me to be online) and this fall I'm going to audition for schools in the UK. It's really extraordinary, since I never really danced before (a few classes as a kid but not much) and haven't acted at all, and now I feel that I'm actually quite good at it. Hopefully you'll all see me in the West End within ten years, that is at least what I'm aiming for.
