I’m re-watching from the start.
Weird that you can’t remember things. I forgot how funny Tess was in the beginning. I had to laugh many times. Learning riding trough the net, reading in a book how to maintain a cow And of course her coffee!! Does anyone know why Liz had a aversion toward Tess? From the first time they met there was a bad tension between them. You can see Alex’s character hasn’t changed that much, he’s still afraid to talk about feelings. Oh and Jodie she has changed sooo much! She really was just a kid. What I loved most about the first season is Claire and Tess getting closer together. Learning more about their parents and each other. I’m sure I’ll be back with more thoughts

I love the first season
.I think as a mother, Liz senses that Nick immediately fell for Tess and she just thought Tess wasn't the right woman because she was coming from town. And maybe she loved to imagine Claire and Nick together, so that all plans her husband was having could become reality .As to Jodie: she trampled on my nerves for a very long time: she was just a spoiled.... don't wanna write the word .Like you, I love to see how Tess and Claire grew closer, became the sisters they once were. I loved other Australien shows like Flying Doctors and the one with the hospital in a small town in the outback (in Germany it was Das Buschkrankenhaus), but I'd say McLeod's Daugherts (well, the first 5 seasons? is my favorite.
