Default Moments when you want to hide (Embarrassment warning!)

Reading falconwolf's dumb-momements-thread made me think of another one.

Were there any moments in the show where you just want to hide as soon as a scene comes up, or a moment in a scene... or perhaps an entire episode??

That happens to me alot when it comes to Dr Mike. She is a great person and says great things most of the time, but sometimes... she just acts so silly... or has this dry humour that makes my skin crawl. I can't even remember those moments now because I've put them far back in my head. HA!!

There's one moment though, when she suggests that the name of the town baseball team should be the name of a bird. I just want to hide in my pillow, and Loren helps me get out of it when he says "Arr, you can't name a ballteam after a bird!". I love him!

Oh yesssssss: embarrassing moments!!!

Okay, someone has to say it and I want to be the first: Sully-the-savage!!!! In this moment I was glad that I never had a crush on Sully , but it was still embarrassing enough.

Oh, and I felt so sorry and also embarrassed for Jake, when he was sitting in the café, waiting for Gilda, who didn't come.

And Michaela moments too. I have to think of some.

In Cattle Drive when Colleen defends on Jesse right after they notice they have been robbed. I could just scream at her "Shut up, you are making fool of yourself" but she just goes on and on...

Colleen having a crush on Sully, and in that big a way... eek, I just want to hide. I probably find it so extreme partly because my own teen years aren't very far away. (It partly makes me think about my own first crush - I think about that guy now and wonder "What was I thinking!?" (at least the guy was my age though) It's embarrassing to think about.)

I agree...Colleen's crush on Sully...

I can't even watch that episode very often it makes me so uncomfortable.

I got goofy like that as a teen, so I guess I'm just embarrassed about my own young girl behavior...

The only embarrassing part that literally makes my face turn, is a scene caused by no other than Preston. It’s in The Tempest, when Mike and Andrew walk towards Preston and his father and Preston says: "Let me introduce to you, the finest physician in all of Colorado Springs" Preston looks at Mike, who’s smiling and then he turns to Andrew "Dr. Andrew Cook"…ekkk I feel so, so embarrassed on behalf of Michaela…I just can’t bear to watch that scene, so I miss out on that Preston scene, quite a lot

Haha embarrassing moments?! There are some. Some are sort of cute embarrassing moments and the others not so cute at all. I'd have to agree with Lizzie and Amber on Heroes. I really have no idea what the writers were thinking...why would Colleen all of a sudden get silly for Sully?! (Sorry I couldn't resist that! ) I mean, a little crush is quite normal I guess, but even asking Michaela what her intentions with Sully were?! Oh gosh, I felt so embarrassed for Michaela as well. At that moment I wanted her to shout "none of your business" and pound some sense in Colleen's little head.

Hmmm what else. Well, there's this one scene where Cloud Dancing runs to his horse really fast and jumps on it and starts riding and it almost looks as if his "trousers" aren't quite where they are supposed to be. It makes me secretly grin a little bit. I can't remember which episode it is or even which season. I'm so awful.

LOL Love the topic. Any moment where Mike gets "Hallmark-y"...the sappy moments...are embarassing to watch - for fear of someone walking in on you watching that. Or definitely "When a Child Is Born Part 2"...I have to either fast forward or mute it when she's screaming...sounds like I'm watching a porno!

But here's the best: I had burned a DVD of a music video of DQ characters to transfer to my work computer so I could watch it on my lunch, etc. For some dumb reason, I put the unmarked DVD back in the stack of new, blank DVDs. My coworker asked for some today....and 5 minutes later came back: "Um....this one's not blank." I was so embarrassed!

I think I remember that one. Doesn't it look like you can see part of his butt cheek? Maybe it's another show that I saw, but I was thinking, "Did I really just see that?"

Yes, Heroes is embarrasing in all kinds of ways, and it really makes no sense that Colleen suddenly turned her attention to Sully. Where the Heart Is also has its embarassing moments, as the Cooper children don't really fit it and then Sully arrives and you can feel the heat radiating off Dr. Mike's face. Or when Sully feels the need to tell everyone at the table how important Dr. Mike is in CS. I thought she would shrivel up and die.

I agree with Heroes. I felt so embarrassed, it's difficult for me to watch this episode. Thinking that in the future he is going to be her father and she had a crush on him.
Also I can't watch The Race, I don't like watching Michaela dressed as a man and although many people find it funny, I don't. I am weird I know. And also for another reason I stated before I don't like this episode and I feel embarrassed for Joe Lando.
I also feel embarrassed for poor Michaela when in The Permanence of Change Loren, Hank and Jake wrote "Doctor Monkey" on her shingle, after all it was their present, but I like it because it is a very clever turning point in the story.

Oh, I would like to know which this episode you are commenting on about Cloud Dancing's derriere is. I don't think he should be embarrassed about that, after all Larry Sellers has quite an enviable body.

Oh yes. That makes me sad, too; vandalism to something very important to her, done by friends? Especially Loren disappoints me. Even if it's not really out of character, and the idea was very new and radical at the time.

I turned the volume down a bit because there were other people in the house, and I didn't particularly want them to walk in and say "what on earth are you watching!?"

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! YES!!!! Colleen in Heroes!!!
The worst moment for me was when she told Sully that she loved him. It was also terrible when they were riding on this horse together , or when they were under Sully's blanket-thingy together . Oh my ... Really terrible episode from the embarrassing point of view. (But I still like it.)

And I agree with you Cheryl, WTHI has also some embarrassing moments.
When Sully came into that fancy room to all those fancy people ... although I always felt that Michaela's behaviour in these moments created more embarrassment. For some reason I can hardly stand another scene from WTHI: when Sully and Michaela went out together for dinner. When they were sitting at that table, eating fancy food and drinking champagne, having nothing to talk about ... urgggg ... this was so .... awkward.

I deeply agree. I wanted to hide under my pillow.
But, honestly, it was all the more embarrassing because Michaela seemed so sure that Preston meant her. Okay, his body languaged tricked her, but nevertheless Andrew was standing right next to them, and he was a physician too, if you know what I mean.
Well, not my favourite DQ- or Michaela-moment.

Another highly embarrassing moment: The Reverend kissing Michaela in Orphan Train. OMGGGGGGGGG!!!
