Btw.: if you like to add your country-flag to the profile, just go to your User CP - Edit Your Details - and scroll down to the bottom. There you´ll find a box for selecting your flag.

So do I. There's so many original ideas in the global appearance of this forum: it makes it really unique. I visit 12s of forums on 12s of subjects, but I've never encountered so many different (and sometimes rare!) options at a single place.

So I guess it's high time to thank our Doc properly for all he's doing for us:

- A quintuple Pierce ballet

- Bouquet, choirs, rounds of cheers and applause

- And, last but not least, a beer round for all!

I have a flag question: why does the swedish flag not have a yellow cross but a yellow bar and a black triangle in it?

Is my geography knowledge that bad???

I just tried to add my flag but it doesn't work.
I got this massage: "You have entered an invalid birthday."

Ha, the same happened to me.

Check if there is your entire date of birth. In my case there was suddenly no year of birth. (You can hide your year of birth, but you have to fill out the field.)

That´s an incentive for me to go on with doing the handicrafts...

I learned a lot about the background of the forum-soft while implementing this and that and this knowledge will hopefully keep the things stable and healthy. Needless to say, that I´m open for suggestions and critics too. For example: I deinstalled the twitter-addon (relying on the hype-web2.0-twitter-platform) - a mini-blog-system with restricted answer boundaries. The similarity to our random-section was way too big, I think.

The built-in-capabilities of vbulletin itself are powerful and not exhausted so far. Maybe it´s a matter of increasing membership - it makes not that huge sense to built up social groups and social forums for very special interests for example, if those groups would only consist of a few people. But anyway, the possibilities are laid out.

I came across a quote-database-tool, which is capable to gather all awesome and interesting quotes around here. So I thought, it could be interesting to implement it. If you don´t share my thoughts about it, please tell me frankly.

So you all are able from now on to hit the "submit"-button at the bottom of every post, if you think, that this post contains an interesting, touching, funny or whatever remarkable quote. After hitting "submit" you will be lead to a further self-explanatory dialogue, where you can delete the superfluous text of the post to leave the intended quote alone.

The quotes are gathered in a database and you can have a view on it every time via "Quotes" in the last navigation-bar. It´s possible to show a random-quote in the main page, the portal or elsewhere. Perhaps the portal is a good place for a random quote. So far the quotes are accessible only by registered users.

So if you are liking this "Remember all awesome quotes"-thingy, please tell me and if you are thinking the other way round, please tell me too.

Furthermore, I´m thinking about writing a forum-step-by-step-guide, but this will take some time.
