A lot of you made some excellent points but here is is what I have to say. LOL!
HAHAHAHAHA! Tina, your post was hysterical and I am inclined to side with you. But if the show had proceeded to kill off Sully, (actually, I think there would have been a serious boycott) then I guess provided they gave her some years to grieve, than maybe just maybe she could have married Daniel and mind you not for love, but to secure a father for her younger children. Well, Brian would have grow up than, so I guess that leaves Katie. But she would have actually raise the child alone. Like Michaela would agree to married him just for that but if so, they would have separate sleeping quarters. Daniel would have proposed and accepted her conditions in the hopes he could eventually win her love, only I don't think it will happen as there really is no one else for her but Sully. They were true soul mates and I can't see her give herself to anyone with the struggles she had to give herself with Sully. The other person maybe, is Dr. Burke. Yeah, they would have made the ideal so called perfect couple -- image wise, but honestly, I think they would have had some major problems with Michaela stubbornness. I don't think he realizes how much of a strong person she really is and won't put up with nonsense. I don't think he will appreciate not having a wife at home as much as she works going beyond the call of duties. I think the novelty of her strength will wear out for him in time once his infatuation wears off. LOL! Michaela needed that someone to challenge her and he didn't do it for her. Okay, my comments on the others. David...no, because he wasn't strong enough for her and he lied though in the guise of protecting her to not be stuck with an invalid. But he still could have gotten in contact with her when he finally recuperated and instead, came to peak into her life, then regretted his decision and subconsciously revealed himself to her, to then actually stay on interfering with her engagement to Sully, causing stress to the children and confusion to Michaela making her feel guilty she has to honor her commitment to him of being his fiance first knowing, she really didn't love him. (Phew, nonsense sentence but I think you get the point) CD...though not mentioned in the poll, maybe she would have married him in time...years, years, years later as they got closer and closer and not so much for romantic love but the love of healing and working together and she truly admired him and he had a lot of Sully's traits. But nah....Only Snow Bird was for him and I was accepting him to be with Dorothy for companionship already. Daniel Watkins...No way...He may have been a little infatuated with her, but she would never entertain the idea of marrying him, what for? He had nothing to offer her and she was still young needing someone close to her age and not an aging ailing man. Besides, there was no spark. Eathan....Don't even think about it. I was horrified that she actually danced and flirted with the louse like she really admired him. That was so disturbing. They could have at least shown her distaste for him when she accepted to dance with him our of curtesy. My goodness, the man would abandoned her realizing she was not making enough money for his gambling habits and surly he didn't want his own children or to live in CS. She would never have married him, not even for the kids knowing it would have been a horrific mistake. The Rev....somewhat ideal in the traditional way I supposed. He was safe, a godly man, and they would have worked very well side by side. But the marriage would be awkward and I doubt they would multiply with the way she was uncomfortable about such intimate matters. Somehow, I don't see him forcing himself on her, he would be too frighten of her. They would likely adopt like crazy. LOL! But he was too week and for her not daring to fight for causes. So she would be very much alone in her fight for justice. Ah, yes, Preston. I honestly would have been interested had he truly redeemed himself. They share so much in common and he accepts her wholeheartedly her strengths and just being a woman doctor. Yep, the ideal trophy wife for him. Only, he would grow tired of her always getting into trouble and start feeling ashamed of her for not pushing herself at making money and showing herself off in society. But they would have made a nice looking couple for appearances anyway. LOL! No way she would go for that. She needed a real man. Hank....Yeah, I know a lot of you are rooting for him and in some ways, me too if only for a fantasy, but no way in the world would she go for him. He is too vulgar and hateful and disrespectful. He goes against everything she believes in. Yet, they have a connection and a mutual respect of accepting one another. Yes, the passion would be explosive, and she would have been left feeling dirty but that is not what Michaela was after when she allowed herself to love Sully. It was complete acceptance, chance to grow, and make her own decision and most importantly true, pure love that won her heart as well as having the same passion for justice. She didn't have that with any of the other men mentioned here. She got the whole package with Sully, well accept no money of which she didn't care for anyway. Hey, how about Horace? What a joke. Maybe in Horace's innocent dream of sweet love. LOL! Gosh, I love that practice proposal with Michaela. It was so beautiful and touching. I don't think any of the other real proposal equal to that. The closes, was Robert E's. I wasn't even as thrill with Sully's proposal.

Very interesting. Hank was such an intense character. He made have been a louse, but he was fun to watch and hate. Yep, he and Michaela certainly had a connection.

I can't imagine Mike and Sully not being together...but if things hadn't turned out as they had in season six...then I guess my choice would be Daniel. He would help Mike keep Sully's memory alive...and they would both be supportive of the other...I don't think the personal relationship would be the same as Mike and Sully's...but I think that they could have a solid one nevertheless.
