Thanks, I'm sure I will. The hills certainly will be alive once me and a bunch of other mad people will be roaming them free. Poor Salzburg-ian people. Aw, I wish I could make a trip to Munich as well, but my trip is pretty much settled now and we'll only be there for a few days. It only takes a few hours by train to Munich? I had no idea it was that short a time. Damn...

Great that you're going to Salzburg! Isn't that the city where Mozart was born? Enjoy your trip!

Jenni, maybe we could do it the other way around: we (Bubb included ) come to Salzburg and have a nice afternoon there. Of course only if we can (depends on the date), but that would be a possibility too.

Yes, Geertrui, the town of Mozart.

Thanks, Geertrui! Yep, it's Mozart's birth town, isn't it.

Really?! I'll have to ask the other people I'm travelling with how full our schedule is going to be. That would be so great if we could meet again. (btw I'm already leaving on July 3rd, so next week. )

Mireille, I saw you will be leaving for Luxemburg in a few weeks. Are you going to the city Luxemburg in Grand Duchy Luxemburg or somewhere else in the country or the department in Belgium? I know, it sounds crazy, but I hope you understand me .
I would like to visit the city (I will probably in February). So tips would be very appreciated .

Oh ok. It isn't a very popular destination but I think it's a lovely country with a beautiful landscape. Anyway, I hope you'll have a great time there!

I can totally recommend Luxembourg!! The country is just beautiful. The area were we stayed is called ‘small Switzerland’ and it is! The landscapes are magnificent. Perfect for hiking.
There is also allot of history. The place I loved most was Vianden. A town with picturesque buildings, a castle which is totally worth visiting and a cable-way which brings you to the top of the mountains. When you’re up there the view takes your breath away.

Geertrui, we also went to Luxembourg-city. I can recommend you to go by bus, we also wanted to go by bus leaving the car at a smaller village next to the city. Before we knew it we were in the middle of the centre so we wandered around to find a good spot….
As a real tourist we did a bus tour trough the city. It was very interesting and you get to know more about all the parts, buildings and art. A ticket is a bit expensive (14euro) but it’s valid for 24h and you can get on and off where you want, this way you can discover whole Luxembourg-city. So that is my suggestion

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your trip! I'm dreaming away by seeing the pictures, hehe.

Thanks for your suggestion ! If we will go, then we will take the train (there is a train that runs from Brussels to Luxemburg). That will be handy too since the railway station is in the centre of the city I think.
