This is so strange, but I don’t find "Heroes" one bit embarrassing; girls in that age have crushes all the time, though I do admit she did take it way too serious. Anyways "Heroes" is one of my favorite episodes of season one, especially because of all the Colleen/Lewis scenes…awww. That was embarrassing yes, especially because Matthew and Sully were watching lol |

AWWw YACK!!! I want to hide just by reading all your posts. Those ARE embarrassing moments!!
You know, sometimes I feel embarrassed in the scene where Robert E puts the wedding ring in Grace's drinking glass, and he has to stop her from drinking it and she reacts in such an irritated way. Her irritated reaction spoils the moment for me, and I feel embarrassed for Robert E. |

Ditto! That was so awkward. Ewww. I guess the thing that always gets me about that episode is that he never really expressed much of an interest in her before. Maybe he was attacted to her when she first came like most of the guys in CS, but then suddenly she is leaving church and he places a hand on her shoulder, much to Sully's dismay. It was like, what the heck is happening here? |

I have those moments all the time. Sully the Savage being one on the top ( I still actually haven't seen the scene yet). I also for some reason have difficulty watching the 1/2 half of WTHI. I don't know why, but I do, and I agree Orphan train is not my favorite either.
I used to not like Heroes, but after I got my box set I watched it again and found that I actually like the eppy.

. When I watch this double epi, I usually need only 15 minutes or so because it is easy to skip when you watch a DVD . I can never watch when David kisses Michaela... Btw, when Preston introduces Andrew as the finest physicin in town, I never see it as Michaela's fault that she expects him to say her name - because she is this doctor, and not only because she has much more experience.

I think that's exactly the thing that has been printed in my mind. At first I thought it was just me imagining things, but I guess not then. ![]() Oh, the Reverend kissing Michaela. Yeah... I feel embarrassed for him in this episode because he can't see the Michaela doesn't have any interest in him whatsoever at first and even shaves his beard off for her. Yikes, poor guy. But I also feel embarrassed for Sully in the kissing scene that he has to be the one to witness it with Matthew. Such an embarrassing moment for both of them, because it's pretty clear that they both are secretly thinking "that should have been Sully not the Reverend!".

I am happy you mentioned this kiss between Michaela and the Reverend. You know what? I had the feeling maybe Michaela would end up with the Reverend after that scene. I was so afraid of it. Luckily I was mistaken.
Yes, it's true it was embarrassing the fact that Sully and Matthew witnessed it. And I also found embarrasing every time Matthew interrupted Michaela and Sully's love scenes. The fact that it wasn't an isolated case made me feel a bit uncomfortable. And also related to Matthew, every time he and Sully quarrelled, like in Cattle Drive. Cooper vs. Quinn or Hell on Wheels. I always tend to relate the interruptions and the quarrels although I know there is no connection at all.

Oh, that's funny that you connect the two. I thought Matthew's interruptions got to be a bit much too. Maybe once, but really, didn't Matthew have any life? If anything, Colleen or Brian should have walked in on them more often because they actually lived at home the whole time. Maybe they didn't want Colleen or Brian to be the ones to see them because of their ages and potential viewer backlash, but Matthew was too old to not be more careful. |

There are actually quite a few moments in the series when I feel really embarrassed. Can't remember them right now though, I seem to have put them really far back in my head due to the embarrassment

I love watching Heroes, but I wish Colleen was younger than it would have been cute her crush with Sully. Her being a teen with a crush back then...mmm...I just took it as pure innocence, not having the experience and knowledge of what couples really engage in. She just took it as something sweet and I don't think she was even in love with him, but in love with the idea of a hero protecting her. Remember, she didn't exactly have her father in her life and often girls seek out older men to replace their father's affection. So to me she was just looking for the wrong kind of love and it was a good thing it was Sully, because she could have been taken advantage of had if it been say... Hank. I still remember how he wanted that 14 year old girl to work for him, so I could imagine him taking advantage of Colleen if Dr. Mike, Sully or Matthew weren't around.
Yes, Sully the Savage was ridiculous. I couldn't believe he would rather do that then to just team up with Dr. Mike about their home being built. He had too much pride in the wrong place. You know what was embarrassing. When Michaela sort after her husband's comfort and understanding regarding Dorothy's book and instead, he made her feel as though it was her fault, dismissing her feelings regarding being exposed. He even yelled at her and stormed off. Then there is that time after their honeymoon when they return home. The next morning he had the audacity to just up and leave her as though they were merely acquaintance, not even giving her a kiss good-bye leaving her stunned. It was obvious it bothered her. I'm sure she was able to accept his need to go find CD, but come on, no affection after the wonderful honeymoon they just had. It was as if the magic was gone as though, he couldn't stand being married. Really weird. Another is Sully watching while Michaela was being kissed by the Rev. That kiss itself was soooooo....awkward.
