Award Star Which dr Quinn character are we in your opinion?

This might not be very funny. It might even be terribly hurtful if people think about you in a way you never THOUGHT!

But lets be brave and kind... and give examples of who you think people on this forum is most alike in the show. Or even just a few features a person on this forum has that reminds you of a character's features in dr Quinn, or even a not yet seen guest star that you think someone would have been!

Motivation is nice!

AND most important - feel free to object!!

OK, I'll start with some....

Jen! I think Jen has features of Sully!!! My motivation is that I think Jen is very creative and artistic, but doesn't really make much fuss about it.

Doc! I think Doc has features of Robert E, because he always fix technical things on this forum as soon as someone hints about a problem, and it's done seemingly easy with alot of knowledge in the matter, and without complaining - doing it by pure pleasure. Robert E!

Maritza! My impression of Maritza is that she has many features of dr Mike! She has gifted kids with great tallents and interests, but she is very careful and considerate about them making the right choises in the long run.

Kahle! To me Kahle has features of a future Matthew in the show, who then has a great family and goes on business trips in his work, and this work absobs him very much but he finds it very interesting and enjoys it!

Ella! In my opinion Ella has many features of Myra. She is very sympathetic and sees things from different perspectives but sticks to her own values without hesitating when it comes to opinions; and when she states those opinions they are very much common sense and good for all parties.

Sylvie! To me, Sylvie has features of Hank AND Brian - the way they have an enthusiasm for trying new things and come up with- and find fun stuff that will engage the whole town. Like dropping some cool news about something, finding sites and internet features to explore.
And writing this, this is also Doc again.

Lizzie! Has features of Jake, because Jake without making that much fuss about it can play an instrument real well in the hurdy gurdy orchestra and it's not even his main character thing - but yet he does it well, so it's almost a hidden tallent. Lizzie in this case plays the violin!

OK.. that was some just to get started. I hope you get the idea....
Think about it very spontaneously.

Neat question!

I'm thinking of Cooperkids here....Cheryl reminds me a bit of Colleen, very thoughtful, studious, loves to read (and write!), very smart. Of course there are others here who fit that description too, Cheryl just comes to mind at the moment.

Cheryl, have you ever thought of becoming a doctor??

Helene, I think you remind me of David (Michaela's first fiancé). You put a lot of work into the things you do, always gathering research to be sure you got everything right. You are very fond of talking about your interests and try to share as much of it with others as possible.

Gemma, I know you don't hate Preston, so I hope it's ok that I say that I think you remind me of him in some ways. You're so honest, you say exactly what you feel about things and you are very optimistic and sometimes witty hehe...

Wow.....this is really cool. I'm still new here and well, I guess I need to time to think about who reminds me of who on DQ. LOL! Yes, Sophy, I actually identified myself a lot with Michaela, but not just in raising my kids, but in how I met my husband, being so naive yet determined to get her education and so open minded. Basically, I was afraid of a relationship period. LOL! Plus, I can be soooo....stubborn often getting things my way when I make them see reason. LOL! Or rather, I'm very persuasive. LOL!

So true Sophy, I would say Jen would have done like Sully did, she could have written a letter to help the children and then remain anonymous.
Three hurrays for Jen and everything she has done for her friends!

Hehe, Sidsel, comparing me to Preston but it's true sometimes I am too honest and say what I think to people, specially my students and I am smiling all the time, that's something I also share with Preston. And I think you too, Sisdel, and your smile is almost identical to Preston's.

You know Ella reminds me of Michaela, so brave and also sharing the same passions with her husband. Hehe. Well, I must say Doc reminds me more of Sully than of Jake, in spite of his name. In fact it's our man on board and Sully has always been the ideal man for women as Sully is to DQ audience.

Lizzie makes me think of Brian, so cheerful and always trying to help everyone. Also because of her sweet tooth.

Cheryl
and SadieCass share their great talent for writing with Dorothy and her denounce against unfair things in life. Also because of their feminist side.

Amber, of course, I can't avoid relating you to your dear Daniel, so peaceful and helpful, so nice and probably for this reason I imagine you blonde like him.

I read Sylvie as a witty Charlotte, knowing sometimes she may be against part of the general opinion (like hating Celine Dion) but sticking to it as she thinks she has to speak her mind out.

I agree with Maritza also sharing traits with Michaela, she sounds like the busy working mother and very resourceful and tough. Even your experience after your mother's death makes me think of Jane Seymour herself who also lost her mother last year and had a very special relationship with her.

Lindsay has so many things in common with Sully, if you have read Lindsay's fanfic it's so clear as she captures his personality. How she decyphers his silences and his feelings. And also your interest for history and analysing everything that happened through critical eyes, something Sully is doing too in the series rewriting history from a fairer point of view.

Sophy
, sorry I cannot help identifying you to our dear Ingrid, probably because her nationality but also because she is so sweet and beautiful and she is caring for her sisters as you care for those you love. I think Ingrid portrays perfectly the Swedish cold warmth.

And many times I feel myself like Cloud Dancing, specially because of my activist profile, against a big nation but still struggling to fight peacefully always for my nation.

Wow, Gemma your comment about comparing me to Jane when she too recently lost her mother just before mine really hit me. I remember wanting so badly to embrace her when she lost her mother just when my mother was at the hospital and we almost her then. Unfortunately, I didn't get to go to meet her like I had done a couple of times when she comes to the NYC Art Expo. I hope to see her next year and give her that hug. She's wonderful to talk to.

Well thank you...I think *lol* I guess I do share those qualities with Dorothy. (I do hope I'm a better friend, though *giggle*)

I'd have to think about this for a bit...it's tough to do for me...but I'll see if I can't come up with one or two

Gemma, your words are so sweet...I like that comparison! I'm not blonde like Daniel though...my hair is brown with a little (ahem...) gray in it at this point, before hair dye that is...

I can see you as being like Cloud Dancing too...very good comparison!

What an interesting idea, Sophy!

I'm like Sully? Interesting heheh. I wish I had his determination, though!

Some of the same ideas came to my mind too when reading your descriptions.

Let's see if I can think of some more of people who haven't been mentioned yet.

Mireille Mireille reminds me of Grace in a way that she cares about people around her and is ready to do something extra (like arranging the forum birthday thread) just to cheer people up - like Grace arranged many gatherings in her café.

Kruemi I'd say Kruemi also shares Dorothy's passion for writing and reading and learning about new cultures. And I think many of her friends turn to her if they have a problem or want to confide in someone, like people often go to Michaela when they need a second opinion.

Ann-Cathrin Anna is like...Horace! Now, don't throw tomatoes at me straight away. She gets excited about new things and the possibility of doing something fun (remember when Horace got a new wagon and drove too fast in all his excitement? ). She also reminds me of Horace because she's working in a place doing what she loves (I hope that still holds hehe).

Mervi Mervi makes me think of Cloud Dancing instantly: someone who is comfortable with herself and knows what she believes in and isn't afraid to tell that. Maybe she could also be like Sully: someone who likes to go for a long walk in the woods all by herself to get away from all the business of living in a city - or at least that's what I imagine (?).

Anne Anne instantly reminds me of Michaela because she's passionate about the things she loves and always speaks her mind (and because she loves, Jane, obviously!! hehe)...Brian, because she's very creative with her art stuff like Brian is creative with his writing.

Geertrui She reminds me of Colleen: both like to read very much. But also Myra or Brian: she's very thoughtful of others and always friendly with people.

Lizzie Lizzie instantly reminds me of either Michaela or Colleen, because she's considerate and shares their interest for medicine. She also reminds me of Michaela in the sense that she can be a bit shy at first, but once you get to know her you'll soon realise she's got a very big heart.

Ella Ella reminds me of Grace. She's bold when she needs to be, but also sympathetic to people around her. She'd do anything for her family and isn't afraid to point out if she feels someone else is being mistreated.

Doc - What first came to my mind was: Loren and Robert E. Someone who is well respected in his community and who is always ready to help with whatever problem one might have. But also Cloud Dancing, because he's shown us the beauty of Dr. Quinn through his videos like Cloud Dancing often gives a little hint of the beauty or importance of things others might have missed.

I'll have to get back to this later.

Oh yeah, and the threadstarter, miss Sophy. She reminds me of the Hank/Jake combination, because she's all for FUN and having a good time with friends. If you don't believe me, go check out some of those Munich meeting pictures. But then there's this other side to her, which is more like Cloud Dancing's wisdom.

Hmmm, I see I'm not on anyone's list. I suppose that means I don't resemble any DQ character. Or people think I'm like Horace, but don't have the heart to tell me that, which I'm actually glad to, because that's the last thing i want to hear right now, I suppose...

Interesting topic by the way! I've never really thought about any of us that way!

My bad, I thought Sophy had you in her original list, Lene. I was trying to remember everyone who hadn't been mentioned yet. Who's the most artistic person in Colorado Springs? Cause that would definitely be you! Maybe Brian is the first character that comes to mind, as nobody really knew at first that he was so good at writing and then suddenly -boom- he wrote this perfect poem for Valentine's Day, like you have surprised us with so many amazing wallpapers and other artwork - and stories.

Wow, this is interesting! I find myself sitting here nodding and agreeing while reading. "Yes , aha! Definately! " Etc...

Thanks Jen! I feel very comfortable being Hank/Jake but having another side too. people have always told me I'm either this or that. "Cloud Dancing's wisdom". gosh! well... if you say so. Hank/Jake versus CD is like opposite personalities, which feels true! Fun and deep.
Some Ingrid too, like you say Gemma, when it comes to family Mostly, many times, I just feel like Loren really...

Lene, Three clear features comes to my mind instantly, but which characters are they?
You have suffered alot of hard times concerning your family, which puts you down, and it keeps you from being more happy, which you deep down really want. To me this is Teresa Morales. You are also Matthew who tries to find love but he won't settle for just anybody, which is important, and he finds someone who seems very promising, but there are saddly disappointments.
Most of all I find you extremely artistic and imagine that you can get lost for hours concentrating on things that are among your skills. Here I'm not thinking Sully... but someone else which I can't put my finger on. It's more about the enthusiasm about it. Perhaps Daniel Watkins and his photo-making.
Wow that was a long analyze!

I'm in the mood to explore some more in my thoughts, so I'll be back!

LOL! Thanks for your analysis Sophy! I guess you have some very good points there. It also makes me happy that people actually remember here what I post. That's not always the case on other message boards. It's good to know that there are places on the net where people are genuinely interested in other people. I guess we have somehow created our own Colorado Springs! And I'm glad to be one of the townspeople...

Thank you for your analysis too, Jen! I somehow also relate to Dorothy though. I guess it's because i also love to write!

I'll see if I can think of a list here too...
